Background

Living in this world we experience fragmentation, separation, and trauma.  Engaging in paths toward social justice or political activism further fragments us as we attempt to create ‘systems’ change.  We are learning all people have spiritual practices and resources to pull from their cultural communities that have the capacity to ground, guide and anchor us as we perform our life’s work.

Study Goals

  • To reunite people with their life purpose and inspire them toward their path through cultural study
  • To build a relationship connection to people within and across familiar lines
  • To advance the community through the member’s work
  • To learn and practice the Philosophy of Community, the People’s Theory of Sickness, and the African Knowledge System well enough to practice and to live it
  • To gain an understanding of an embodied personal philosophy based on cultural heritage and to be able to function from this ground
