Health and Social Service professionals help people. In doing so, they often forget about their own health and well-being. This neglect of themselves encourages a culture of personal neglect in an industry that does nothing respond to immediate and long-term concerns of people in need. Such irony needs to be addressed. It is time to rethink how Health and Social Service professional work.
