About the event

The Minnesota African American Family Preservation and Child Welfare Disproportionality Act (MAAFPCWDA) is a landmark legislation enacted to stop the unnecessary removal of Black children from their homes and prevent the overrepresentation of African American families in the child protection system.

Join us in conversation to help keep African- American Children out of the Child Welfare System.

This event takes place on August 10, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center.
