BLACK BIKE WEEK- BLACK WOMEN TO THE RESCUE!!!

Black Bike Week MN is a celebration of Black cycling history, culture, health, and freedom. Founded in Minnesota and anchored in Minneapolis–Saint Paul, this statewide event brings together riders, artists, advocates, and families to reclaim space, amplify joy, and champion mobility justice. It honors historic figures like Major Taylor and modern champions like Nelson Vails, while creating space for new leaders and future riders to thrive.

This event is a celebration of Black Women's contribution to cycling and active living, In the name of Kittie Knox, The Black cyclist and activist who challenged race and gender barriers in the 1890's - we will honor (two of our favorite people on the planet - but it is a surprise ) for their contributions and committed efforts to challnge race and gender barriers, inviting, challenging and supporting women and other marginalized community members.
