This inspiring self-guided walk through the historic North Commons Park is designed for all ages and abilities. As you explore, you’ll engage with powerful personal stories from leaders, legends, elders, and neighbors, reflecting on our community’s deep-rooted relationship with nature—past, present, and future.

This one-of-a-kind winter event is a celebration of the rich history of the Northside and the enduring legacy of Black Minnesota in the outdoors. It’s an opportunity to honor the past, strengthen connections, and inspire the future.
